R.L. Burke was born in Louisville, Kentucky, where she graduated with a double-major in Theatre and English from the University of Louisville. She currently lives and writes in the Atlanta Metro area. She was the International Winner of 2100: A Healthcare Odyssey – an International Science Fiction competition imagining the future of Healthcare – with her short story, “Bedside Betsy.” “The Invitation” – an historical fiction piece – took second place in the national Set Stories Free competition sponsored by the Public Library Association, and has since been published internationally. When not writing, C.J. enjoys spending time with his family, coaching and playing ice hockey, and cheering himself hoarse for Philadelphia sports teams. While he has been known to consume an entire gallon of mint chocolate chip ice cream in one sitting, C.J. does not advocate excess and hopes we can all leave the world with a little bit more than we take from it. C.J. lives in the Baltimore, MD metropolitan area with his wife and son.
